It took 9 days to arrive. The surface is somewhat textured, rough but very soft so it is not a problem that it is going to slip. The lid is plastic and has a silicone edge that prevents spillage, with the lid on, closed, the liquid does not drain. The base is of a type of rubber that also prevents it from slipping and turning. I have not tried how long the hot or cold water lasts. For quality and price, I fully recommend it.
